The entire wedding just really came together.. the mix of the bright colors and soft florals.. against the bold pops of black.. ack!! i guess i could go on and on and on!! designing the paper was a blast for us!! such a fun mix of patterns and BOLD fonts..
not to mention a fabulous color palette. The invitations were tied with an ombre sheer ribbon that just pulled the entire suite together. I also love the favor bags that doubled as place cards.. to see an entire feature on 100 layer cake click HERE!
I have to be honest. Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. There is just something about it. Maybe it’s the hearts.. and the massive amounts of paper goods being exchanged.. or maybe it is just that I am a cheesy romantic at heart that loves love. For one of those reasons.. or for all of those reasons.. my husband brian and I like to host the annual POTLOVE.. it’s just a good ol’ fashion potluck.. with a whole lot of love. Keep scrolling for more details and goodies!!
Gold foiled coasters + sweet treats! The cherry gummy hearts have probably set me back a pound or two.. and I have no regrets. And of course.. i have to show of my little guy frankie!!
The *tiny* invite was a 4 by 5 accordion printed on a matte smooth stock. The envelope was a pale pink.. ( think the lightest hint of blush.. ) with a deep red heart liner!!
I made the hearts for the kids table … out of red stock and light pink crepe paper. It was so easy.. and made a great statement.. we also had CUSTOM placemats printed.. Such a great ( and easy!) addition for an kid’s table..
I am so BLESSED to be a part of an amazing group of girls.. I just LOVE getting to spend life with each and everyone of them.. I seriously thank the Lord each day for the people He has brought into my life.. I just can’t believe how blessed I am.. and just how LUCKY I am to have so many girls praying for me.. so many encouraging me.. and so many just walking through life with me. LOVE YOU ALL!!
Gold foil “love note-books” to take home for the ladies!!

We often fall in love with not only our clients’ ideas for their wedding day, their showers, or their parties… but who they are as people…
Lauren is one of those brides that just captivated us. To this day.. it is still one of my favorite wedding color palettes and one of my favorite suites!! ( yea!! )
I also love that we ran into each other while on vacation.. and got to hang out at the parker hotel poolside!!
How did you find out about posh paperie?
Being attached to the concept of initial perception and its relationship to the theme of our wedding, I knew that I had to find a team of creators that were interested in not only making something beautiful, but also something that represented both David and I accurately as a couple. After a substantial search in the wedding blog universe as well as mountaintops of magazines, I knew Posh Paperie were our team after finding a beautiful kite themed wedding suite that they created for a couple that was not only fun and creative, but also beautiful! After perusing through their impressive website and a meet up with Elizabeth and Karrie, David and I felt at ease and knew that we were in good hands!
What events have we been able to create special paper goods for your family?
Well first we had our entire wedding suite that included beautiful hand drawn maps by Karrie as well as calligraphy by Wendy. In addition, we had wedding menus, table numbers, dessert labels, and a sign for our gifts table created by the Posh team. When it is time for baby announcements, showers etc… I know they will be hearing from me again, and I honestly can’t wait!
How many years have we known each other now?!
After searching through my emails, it has been just under two years!
Tell us a little bit about your family and yourself!
My husband David and I live in Orange County. David is originally from Wales in the United Kingdom and is still getting adjusted to living in Southern California. I was born and raised in Orange County! Currently, David works for J.Crew and I am an elementary school teacher. We love to travel, but we also love to be homebodies!
Why do you love working with Posh Paperie?
I literally emailed/called/harassed these women throughout the entire year leading up to the wedding on an almost-daily basis. Never once did I feel like I was their burden or that my requests were too much, and believe me looking back I was a handful! They are gracious and kind women that truly go above and beyond for their clients. They are comforting at times of stress and encouraging through times of uncertainty (We went back and forth so many times on our design!). Their talent and creativity are as strong as their customer service and level of engagement with each client. Above all else, they are women that truly care about the level of product that they produce and it shows from start to finish!
How did you find out about posh paperie?
Well I really believe the universe brought us together… but technically I met with a local florist recommended to me by a friend (Adorations) and at the end of our meeting Lavonne asked me if I had picked stationary people yet. Although I had been in contact with a few, I was still shopping around, so she quickly handed me Karrie’s card, saying that I MUST call her… so I did. Lavonne had worked with Karrie previously on her branding and showed me what a stunning job she had done on her business cards. Karrie called me back immediately, and then put me in contact with Elizabeth to get a meeting on the calendar. Once we sat down together, we clicked instantly (no contest!), and my stationary journey began.
What events have we been able to help create special paper goods for you/your family/friends?
What HAVENT they done for me? First and foremost was the wedding….thermographed Save the Dates, Main Invites, Thank you notes, escort cards, place cards, programs, welcome bag goodies including a hand-drawn map, etc etc…the whole shebang! Basically anything paper you could have for a wedding, we did it. Then the addiction to beautiful stationary continued with 2 years of Christmas cards for my husband and I, my first anniversary gift of “paper” notepads from Eric, invitations to a nautical baby shower, a love themed bridal shower invite, a beachy bachelorette invitation and tshirt, and most recently a vintage moving announcement postcard. How many years have we known each other now?! 🙂
We met in 2009 while Eric and I were engaged, so that’s only 3 years, although it feels like I’ve know Karrie and Elizabeth forever. Tell us a little bit about your family( you and eric)… + yourself!
I am a 2nd grade teacher in South County San Diego, while my husband Eric works in sales. We’ve been married 2 ½ years and just bought our first home together in Scripps Ranch. After enduring a stressful, and unexpectedly long remodel, we finally moved in! Although, the posh paperie is rooting for a real human baby (can you say birth announcement?) Eric and I are planning to welcome home our first baby puppy very soon. 🙂 Why do you love working with (and being Bff’s with Posh paperie) ? ha 🙂
Can I just say because they are AMAZING!? From the stunning paper products they create to their warm and friendly personalities, I love every minute I spend working with the Posh Paperie. My husband now refers to Karrie and Elizabeth simply as “the girls,” because we’ve grown so close and when we’re together we just gab on and on like bffs. I really feel like I am not just a client, but also a dear friend. I know I can be brutally honest if I change my mind on something. I can spew out a slur of ideas and questions in an email at 10pm, knowing that the next morning (or that night!) I’ll have a reply waiting for me in my inbox knowing exactly what I meant. The posh paperie knows me better than I know myself sometimes, and we’ve built a great relationship that will endure a lifetime… of stationary!
What papergoods are your favorite that we have done for you..
Oh man, how can I decide??? Wow… How about Top 3? :
• My notepads. I think these are so special because Eric had them made for me as a surprise, which alone is just so cute. “The girls” collaborated with him to produce something that is so “me.” Plus, they sit on my desk (at home and at school) where I see and use them every day, which always makes me smile.
• My wedding place cards and table numbers- something about the hand calligraphy, silky ribbon, and hand cut lace is just so beautiful. We saved them all, and I feel like someday I’ll just have to bust them out for a party… with numbered tables!!! Lol
• Samantha’s bachelorette invitations- these were just too cute for words, so bright and fun and they totally set the tone for the weekend.
Ok maybe top 4…
• The wedding save the date- it was the beginning of our creative journey together! After examining silk flowers from new york, and lots of different ribbons and laces, we came up with the perfect save the date, which completely defined my entire wedding theme. Such classy elegance- I’m obsessed with these for what they are and what they represent.
our thoughts on the fabulous em:
where do we even begin to talk about this amazing girl?! emily caballero (then, adamick) walked in to our studio, with her incredible mom (bonnie) 3 years ago and has since become one of our all time favorite clients and now, friends. her wedding was our favorite to date – set at the hotel del coronado – with the most gorgeous stationery suite (think ribbon and lace) we have ever designed. because emily was so invested in each step of the stationery process, we met with her more times than any other client… and really got to know her – and love her. since her wedding, we have collaborated on several projects together – bridal showers, baby showers, christmas cards, moving announcements. we have loved every opportunity to work with her – and even more so, have appreciated the wonderful friendship we have built. we love you em (and her awesome husband, eric… and sweet mom, bonnie) and look forward to many more celebrations together in the years to come! xo, e and k
This is one loved little guy! His *sweet* mom, Brandi – found us via a blog – and contacted us to put together an entire suite for Jett’s first birthday. She had the fun idea of doing a goldfish theme – so we used bright orange and aqua (with pops of navy) for the color palette. We designed every piece from the invitations all the way to favor tags – and loved every minute! Thanks, Brandi, for finding us – cheers to many more events together!

I have known this sweet momma (Erika) since our college days. A few years ago she contacted us to do Skylar’s first birthday party invitations – and we have been designing the stationery for all of her parties ever since. We could not be more honored! We always love to design for Erika because #1. she plans great parties and comes up with awesome themes #2. she is one of the easiest to please clients we have ever had! She came up with the idea of doing a “princess” themed party…but with ponies as well – and didn’t know how to tie the ideas together. We came up with the idea of doing a pink ombre tri fold – with silhouettes on each fold (horse, crown, girl). It ended up being absolutely adorable – fitting the theme perfectly – and still looking very feminine and adorable. We designed the “thank you” cards as well – to match the invitations. Thanks, Erika, for always coming back to us…we love you – and your sweet kids!
The minute sweet Ashley walked in to our studio – dressed in her wedding colors (grey, mint and persimmon) -we instantly fell in love with her. She has a great eye for design and had picked a fabulous color palette. Her save the date announcements were very simple – but still elegant…with a tiny vintage flair. The invitations were an extension of the save the dates – very classic and traditional – with a pop of whimsy and color. The solid persimmon liner and the tiny website card (with mint polka dots!) were the 2 elements of this invitation that really added that “custom” look.
