Elizabeth’s husband, Scott turned the big 4-0 back in March…and we threw a “Fortieth Fiesta” to celebrate! The party was held in the Seaton’s backyard…we had catering by a taco truck, an amazing bartender / mixologist making custom drinks, the best photobooth (Red Photo Booth), and a tasty dessert bar. The color palette was inspired by a Mexican tablecloth that Karrie found, so we stuck with bright colors and lots of them! It was one of those parties where nothing necessarily “matched” – but that was part of the charm. One of clients, turned one of our best friends (!) threw a fiesta for her son’s first birthday party – and we were lucky enough to be able to borrow some of her awesome decor! Table runners, maracas, tiny pinatas, sombreros – she had it all!
The invitations were printed on wood – full color. We did a fun patterned envelope liner, to mimic a Mexican blanket pattern. We also printed custom napkins, tent folds for the dessert bar, bar menu, a large sign for the dessert backdrop + utilized a package of “loteria” cards to make a banner.
Karrie could moonlight as a florist (not kidding!) – and she used Spanish / Mexican style cans to hold her gorgeous floral arrangements. She did big and small – and they were the perfect addition to our tables (belly bar, large tables for seating / eating + the featured tables – dessert bar, bar + food table).
Custom sugar cookies (by Elizabethan Bakery) were a huge hit – as was the carrot cake; Scott’s favorite! (also by Elizabethan). We added in some salted caramel bites + Mexican chocolate brownie squares (homemade) and the dessert table was complete!
Most importantly, the birthday boy loved his party – and we had a fun time planning + executing it! :)

Frankie has been obsessed with pirates these days and all things ninja, that is why we went with the “swashbuckler” theme. I didn’t want to do the typical black and red pirate party theme since that is what everyone does, plus my tiny pirate loves blue and brown!

I tried to tie in some nautical elements because I wanted it to still have a fun and playful feel since I was combining my two boys birthdays! Frankie was turning 4 and Harry was turning 1. Since Harrison was only turning 1, I didn’t want the party to be too “old” for him, so I made sure to add in some whimsical elements.

For the invitation, the front had all the info and the back had all the pirates you see throughout the party! We had a tiny marine flag banner wrapped around the invite too, just to add a fun embellishment. The liner was my favorite!! A giant shark bite!

We had a giant gold X in front of the house for X marks the spot, and glitter pirate skulls with a twist!

I made tiny newspaper hats for them to give them a nautical feel. (We are actually selling these in our Etsy shop!)

My dad made a pirate mast, so that our “loot” table could look like a ship!! Each tiny pirate got to load up with jewels, costume pieces, and weapons!

Since the party was at 10 am, we had a variety of brunch items: a cereal bar ( Frankie’s favorite cereals), VG’s donuts, orange slices, rice krispie “boats”, clam cookies, and my favorite: hard tack! I read that pirate would have to eat the hard tack out of the barrels and the weevils would get all in their stale bread… and the pirates ate it anyways!!!
So, I just had to include it in our brunch set up!!! Oh, and obviously “pirates booty!” I had to get custom cups in gold, so it looked like our party was full of treasure!

We played walk the plank and each kid got a squishy shark if they made it across!!! We did a scavenger hunt throughout our neighborhood of gold coins that we hid for the kids to hunt out and find! I also set up a “bucket and ball toss” just something all the tiny little babies would be into, that way they had something to throw the balls into, and just hang out in the backyard :) We also had custom tattoos for the boys to put on… (and their mamas too!). (Also in the Etsy shop!!) My favorite one was “I love mom” haha!! Classic for these tiny pirates!!

And of course, my last and FAVORITE detail is when harry went FACE FIRST into his cake! haha! Gosh I love that kid.. and he LOVES food :) no doubt about it.

ALL of these photos ( except all the cuties on the plank..) were taken by the ever so talented jackie wonders..  Jackie Wonders Photography
I couldn’t thank her enough for capturing this sweet day!

harry_7 harry_5 harry_4 harry_3 harry_2I am so excited to share Harrison’s baby dedication with you! It is just a simple sweet invite and treats for the family.

We dedicated Harrison at north coast Calvary chapel in front of all our family a few weeks ago. I just had a simple strawberry shortcake reception.. And in all the chaos I forgot to actually take a picture of the dessert.. Ha! Too many mouths to feed I guess!

We chose the verse “His compassions never fail..great is Your faithfulness” Lamentations 3:22-23. After having a miscarriage in between Frankie and Harry… I just treasured each moment of being pregnant with Harrison.. New life is such a gift! And God is always faithful.. So it just seemed like the perfect verse.

I went with a spring theme of mint and greens with a pop of red.. Since I kept seeing all the strawberry stands going up around my house!

The treat bags were for my nieces and nephews.. Silly putty is one of my favorite toys!

Hope you enjoyed this tiny party we had to celebrate Harrison and our commitment to The Lord as his parents!

” as for me and my house we will serve The Lord “ Joshua 24:15

We cannot believe our little frankie is already THREE!!! where does time go!? He is OBSESSED these days with batman.. so of course.. we had to make his crime-fighting dreams come true.. and create the ultimate batman party for him!! The invite was a front and back card.. with a bat signal envelope liner! Each bat was laser cut in black and yellow to tie on as the perfect party accessory.
The tiny cake is by sweet and saucy shop and the cookies too!

We made capes for each child.. so they were all zooming around “gotham {box}  city” as they feasted on treats and their sack lunches of pb sandwiches and goldfish! We also created custom cups so that each child could have a cup with a lid on it! it was perfect.. no spills.. and obviously the cutest cups to keep! The party finished off with a batman pinata.. and yellow light up balls fell out along with batman candy!

We loved everything about this invitation suite. Primarily because we LOVE the bride! Stephanie Uchima, of Preppy Chic Events, hired us to do her *own* wedding! We were honored and thrilled to create her dream stationery. Of course, she had a pretty set idea of what she wanted – and had the styling down to a “t”. For her destination wedding in Maui, she picked a clean color palette of white, navy and blush pink. We kept the invitations simple – thick cotton stock and navy ink – all tied together with a navy ribbon band and flat seal. We incorporated a “logo” for them (their initials with arrows crossing) that started with their save the date announcements and carried through the wedding invitations. The activities card was printed on a blush stock to give a pop of color. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your special day, Stephanie!

This was such a fun wedding to be a part of – for so many reasons. We love the wedding planner (one of our *all time* favorites) – Nicole Arena of Green Ribbon Party Planning Company…and her visions are so innovative and incredible. We love bringing her ideas to life!
We also loved the unique color palette for invitations – letterpress printing on kraft stock – with a coral pink and lemonade yellow and bright white. We designed an oversized tag with their initials to tie everything together with extra thin jute.  The pieces we designed for the wedding were all fun and unique as well – “fan” style ceremony programs, dinner menus with icons to represent the entree selections, and escort cards cut in a scallop shape with hand calligraphy to tie to lemonade bottles. This wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty – always an honor!

We were so honored to participate in an amazing nautical themed photo shoot for “Destination I Do” with Wedding PR – and a dream team of vendors!

Navy, white and pops of pink were the color palette we had to work with. We kept things elegant and simple – and also added in a whale for an element of “surprise”!

We designed an invitation set (loved how the envelope liner for the RSVP card was just a thick diagonal stripe + the main envelope opened to display a fun pattern!), menus, place cards and drink “flags”.

we are also slightly obsessed with whales at the moment.. so just take a minute to admire him :)

One of our all time favorite wedding planners, Nicole Arena of Green Ribbon Party Planning Co. brought us this fun couple (Christie + Rob) – and we loved every part of helping to design their big day.
Nicole had the brilliant idea of playing on their new last name (GOOD) – so we used this in many of their wedding day paper goods (i.e. on the menu: “eat GOOD food”, etc.).
The wedding was held on Catalina Island, and had a preppy feel to the decor and style. We wanted to capitalize on this for the stationery – and incorporated crisp white stock (110# crane’s) and letterpressed 2 colors (navy and tangerine tango). We used
a Spanish inspired “tile” design on the invitation itself, and a fun little patterned envelope liner as well. For the welcome bags we designed a custom hand drawn map – but kept it more ”graphic” in nature as opposed to whimsical – in keeping with the rest of her clean, preppy and stylish invitations.
